Proposed Amendments to the Bylaws to be discussed at the Annual Meeting February 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM

Section 6.05 (current)
Members of the church council shall be eligible to succeed themselves in office only once.

Proposed:
The members of the Church Council except the pastor(s) shall be elected by written ballot to serve for three years or until their successors are elected. Such members shall be eligible to serve no more than two full terms consecutively. Their terms shall begin at the close of the annual meeting at which they are elected.

Section 6.06 (current)
An unexpired term or vacancy occurring on the Church Council can be filled from nominees on the ballot of the previous annual meeting. Any nominee shall be approved by the Church Council before taking office.

Proposed:
Should a member’s place on the Church council be declared vacant, the Church Council shall elect, by majority vote a successor until the next annual meeting.
