DLCW NEWS
WINTER is here! Today as I am writing this article the snow has been coming down ever so gently - we have probably 5-6 inches on the ground and still snowing. It is beautiful as long as I don't have to go out. Hope we will be able to have all our February activities with no cancelations.
The DLCW will meet on February 2, 2012 (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m., in the Social Hall. Priscilla Circle will be Hostesses and also have devotions.
Our program will be presented by the Northeast Iowa RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program). Our speaker will presnt a program concerning Identity Theft and Investment Fraud prevention. This presentation will include information on: How to prevent identity theft, How to recognize 'red flags associated with financial fraud', and Who to call to check out a solicitor.
I think you will find this a very informative program.
Also, we will be meeting our new Pastor Dave Sorenson and his wife Joleen. Bring a friend or two and come join us for our monthly inspirational meeting.
Coffee servers for the month of February will be as follows:
February 5 - Senior League
February 12 & 19 - Martha Circle
February 26 & March 4 - Priscilla Circle
Circle Bible Studies will be on February 16.
Quilting days (Do-Day) - February 6 & 27 from 9:00 a.m. - till 12:00 p.m.
You should have received your DLCW Booklet for 2012. It was mailed on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Thank you to those of you who so willingly helped assemble the booklet on Tuesday morning. 560+ booklets were mailed. If you find corrections that need to be made please call me and if you have a program suggestion please call with the information - 387-0583.
