DLCW

THANK YOU …...
to the group of women who have worked hard at church and/or at home to make Quilts for
Lutheran World Relief and others. So far we have donated 103 quilts/2 blankets/56 health kits to LWR; 6 quilts to local hospice; 2 quilts/3 blankets/1 sheet set to Helping Services;
3 quilts/6 bath robes, to Bremwood-
plus have donated layette items to Gail Judisch
who, with others, assembled layettes.

Thanks, too, to Duane Larson ( and his horse trailer), Glen Barth and Gary Hall for helping load boxes, to Olson Explosives for the LWR truck, to Lynne Kuennen for setting up tables, to Leroy Iverson for hauling boxes and bags here and there.
You are all the helping hands of Christ in this world.

The DLC ‘quilters’ will not meet until September—-but quilt tops/middles 60”x 80”—and backs 84” x 64”—-and completed health and school kits-and layette items are always welcome.

Sarah Andersen & Jean Iverson, DLCW Stewardship Co-Chrm.

DLCW News
What is a Towel Bundle? Well, the youngsters who enter Bremwood Lutheran Children’s Home in Waverly, sometimes come with no personal products, and one of the first activity is to be sent to take a bath. They are given a Towel Bundle, (which are assembled by the women of the NEIowa Synodical women, like our DLCW). We have a delegate, Arlene Larson and an alternate delegate, Cindy Hansmeier, going to the convention in Waverly on June 19. As is customary, the delegates take along some love offering type of things, such as quilts, other items from Bremwood’s wish list, and Towel Bundles. Can each circle send along at least one bundle? List of items to include: bath towel, wash cloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, solid deodorant, lotion , bar soap or body wash. All items can be put in a clear ziplock bag. These supplies are so appreciated
We need donations of pies (2 per circle) for the Aug. 22 Aase Haugen ice cream social. Watch for further details.
DLCW does not meet until September. Some circles are also on vacation. We hope you all have a very restful summer!
